Ministries
Getting involved at St. Mary's United Methodist Church matters because your presence and interaction with other believers in Christ is important. The ministries listed below are the many areas where we need your help. Please review and contact the ministry leader that you would like to get involved.
United Women in Faith
The United Women of Faith is a faith-based membership organization of lay women within the United Methodist Church. UMW members are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ in community with other women and advocating on behalf of women, children, and youth around the world.
55+ Seniors Ministry
The 55+ Seniors Ministry is an opportunity to connect with seasoned saints for fellowship, food, and field trips. They meet every Monday at 9:30 am, with Bible Study at 11:30 am and lunch served at 12:00 pm.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship services, including arranging altar elements, maintaining seasonal decorations, and assisting with events like weddings and funerals. They also handle communion setup and care for liturgical items.
Ushers
Ushers in a church escort people to open seats, help collect offerings, and act as leaders in the act of worship. The job of church ushers is to maintain an atmosphere of reverence and order before, during, and after the service.
Media Ministry
The Media Ministry uses technology to enhance worship experiences, including video, sound, and photography, often supported by volunteers. It aims to connect congregations through various media formats, making church services more engaging and accessible
Choir
The Choir enhances worship through music. They provide opportunities for members to participate in worship, build community, and express their faith through song.
The Bridge
The Bridge Ministry spearheads our missional outreach efforts. Including but not limited to our clothing drives and our annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway.
